Strategy
Iron Tide Command
★★★★☆ 4.4
Iron Tide Command asks you to think three moves ahead, and it never apologizes for it. You command a small navy, route supply ships, and read the weather before committing to an attack. Getting caught in a storm with a loaded convoy taught me more than any tutorial could.
Touch controls for a strategy game can be a nightmare, but here they mostly work. You drag to plot courses, pinch to zoom the map, and tap units for clean radial menus. Matches have a satisfying arc of calm planning followed by tense execution.
It's not a game for five idle minutes — sessions want twenty to thirty. But the payoff when a long-planned pincer finally lands is exactly what strategy fans chase.
What we liked
- Real tactical depth with supply management
- Weather that genuinely changes your plans
- Surprisingly clean touch controls
